Construction Estimator

We are seeking an experienced
Construction Estimator
to join a growing contractor delivering projects across New York City. This role will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, performing quantity takeoffs, and supporting the bidding and preconstruction process from initial review through final submission.
The position is suited to a mid-to-senior level estimator who is comfortable working from drawings and specifications, coordinating with subcontractors and vendors, and producing accurate, competitive pricing in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare detailed estimates from drawings and specifications through final bid submission
Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate project pricing
Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and vendor proposals
Identify scope gaps, constructability considerations, and potential cost risks
Maintain market pricing knowledge and subcontractor relationships
Coordinate with internal teams during the preconstruction and handoff process
Support bid strategy and proposal preparation
Requirements
5+ years of estimating experience within the construction industry
Experience working on projects within the
New York City market
Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
Familiarity with common estimating and takeoff software (e.g., Bluebeam, OST, Procore, or similar)
Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
