Private Equity Associate –North Carolina
Blacklock Group is partnering with a leading middle-market private equity firm in North Carolina as they continue to grow their investment team.
This is a strong opportunity to join a high-performing, execution-focused platform investing in founder‑led businesses across the industrial services and built environment sectors. The team operates with a hands‑on approach, lean deal teams, and a clear focus on value creation.
We are looking for someone operating at a strong level who is seeking increased responsibility, direct exposure to senior investors and management teams, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully across live investments.
What you’ll do
Support day‑to‑day execution across control buyout transactions
Build and review financial models, valuations, and diligence materials
Prepare investment memos, IC materials, and management presentations
Play an active role across diligence, deal execution, and portfolio company initiatives
Work closely with management teams on value creation strategies
Support senior investors on origination and thematic sourcing efforts
What they’re looking for
M&A and/or buy‑side experience strongly preferred
Strong technical ability across modelling, valuation, and transaction execution
Experience managing multiple workstreams across live deals
Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence working alongside management teams
