
Director of Development

Position Summary
As a member of the Arts and Sciences Foundation team, the Director of Development will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting Arts and Sciences prospects for major gifts and principal gifts. The role reports directly to a senior member of the development team and supports the Foundation’s mission to grow and steward the College’s endowment. The position may accommodate a hybrid work arrangement consistent with system policy, with residency required within a reasonable commuting distance of the duty station. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) with related experience. For duties involving direct solicitation, a minimum of 1 year of professional‑level direct solicitation/fundraising experience is required. Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Strong leadership skills. Working knowledge of computer‑related office tools and database management. Strong personal integrity, work ethic, discretion, confidentiality, and ethics. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Five years of development, sales, or related experience. Experience in a university or major college setting with a successful track record in closing major, principal, and planned gifts.
