The Superintendent will be responsible for the day-to-day management of construction sites for construction projects. This role involves coordinating and supervising all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in Assistant Superintendent roles on a variety of construction projects, strong leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes and regulations. Travel is required, as projects can vary state to state. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all phases of construction projects, including planning, execution, and completion, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and federal requirements. Manage and supervise on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met and work is performed to high standards. Coordinate daily construction activities, including scheduling, material delivery, and equipment use, to optimize productivity and minimize delays. Ensure compliance with federal regulations, safety standards, and company policies, conducting regular inspections and enforcing safety protocols. Maintain clear and effective communication with project managers, clients, EOR and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and changes. Review and approve work completed by subcontractors and vendors, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, AHAs and safety records. Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts on-site, implementing solutions to keep the project on track. Ensure that all project deliverables are completed within budget and in accordance with contractual agreements. Required Skills and Qualifications: 1 -3 years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or in a similar leadership role on construction projects. Ability to read and understand blueprints, project schedules and products Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with Operations and Project Managers Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues proactively. Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore) Ability to travel in an assigned region MD/DC or VA – NC Preferred Qualifications: Experience with a variety of federal project types (e.g., military, government buildings, infrastructure). Certification in safety management (e.g., OSHA, PMP) is a plus. Client needs one Superintendent for the DC/Baltimore area and another for the Richmond VA/Raleigh NC area. Seniority level
