Position Summary The Lead Distribution Sales is responsible for managing and growing national distributor relationships to drive profitable sales growth and ensure reliable product flow to meet end‑user demand. The role executes account strategies aligned with organizational priorities, collaborates cross‑functionally to support operational excellence, and maintains strong relationships with distributor stakeholders. It requires solid knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, payer dynamics, and distributor business models, as well as digital tools and data to inform account planning, enhance execution, improve inventory and sales forecasting, strengthen contract price accuracy, and increase visibility across distributor performance and supply‑chain operations.

Territory Nationwide coverage across the United States, with a preference for candidates located near a major metropolitan airport to support travel needs.

Key Responsibilities Distributor Account Management & Growth

Manage assigned national distributor accounts to ensure product availability, contract compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Execute account plans aligned with annual commercial objectives, including revenue growth and profitability.

Maintain relationships with distributor leadership and key decision makers to identify growth opportunities and resolve issues.

Commercial Execution & Performance Management

Monitor account performance, sales trends, and execution metrics to identify risks and opportunities.

Recommend and support corrective actions to address performance gaps.

Support achievement of national account sales and SFE targets.

Contracting, Pricing & Governance Support

Support negotiation and implementation of national or corporate agreements within established pricing and governance frameworks.

Ensure alignment with internal policies and compliance requirements.

Cross‑Functional Coordination & Operational Support

Partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Customer Service, and Finance to support forecasting, order flow, issue resolution, and system‑enabled process improvements.

Coordinate internally to support product launches, system updates, and policy changes impacting distributors.

Market & Industry Insight

Stay current on industry trends, healthcare reform, reimbursement dynamics, and competitive activity.

Incorporate relevant insights into account planning and execution.

Digital Enablement & Data‑Driven Execution

Utilize CRM, analytics, and reporting tools to track account performance, sales trends, and execution metrics.

Leverage digital platforms and dashboards to support forecasting accuracy, demand visibility, and proactive issue identification.

Ensure accurate, timely data entry and maintenance to support internal reporting, planning, and governance processes.

Partner with internal teams to adopt and optimize new systems, tools, and digital processes impacting distributor engagement and order flow.

Apply data‑driven insights to inform account planning, performance reviews, and opportunity prioritization.

Travel up to 40% to support account engagement and business needs.

Experience and Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related medical field. MBA preferred.

5+ years of successful professional sales experience, preferably in national accounts and/or distribution in the health care industry.

Experience managing complex customer organizations and cross‑functional internal relationships.

Experience interacting with senior customer stakeholders (Director level and above).

Skills

Digital fluency with CRM systems, reporting tools, and data visualization platforms.

Ability to interpret data and analytics to drive insights, decisions, and performance improvement.

Comfort operating in technology‑enabled, matrixed environments.

Strong analytical, planning, and problem‑solving skills.

Effective cross‑functional communication and collaboration.

Working knowledge of distribution within both Acute and Non‑Acute care settings, including hospitals, health systems, ambulatory care, and alternate site providers.

Enjoys operating in a fast‑paced, complex environment, managing multiple operational and administrative priorities with attention to detail and accuracy.

Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable insights, effectively using digital tools and technologies to improve outcomes.

Compensation The approximate pay range for this position is $130,000.00 to $150,000.00. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
