Sr. MEP Estimator (Mechanical)
Leading mechanical subcontractor seeks a Senior Estimator with design‑build background for large projects up to $100M. Located in Seattle with remote options.

Responsibilities
Conduct detailed mechanical estimates for construction projects, including piping, sheet metal, and plumbing.
Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors to secure competitive pricing.
Review and analyze project plans and specifications to determine overall cost estimates.
Provide pre‑construction services such as conceptual estimating, value engineering, and lifecycle analysis.
Participate in negotiation and award process of all major subcontractor contracts.
Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure estimates are accurate and projects stay within budget.
Continuously improve estimation processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Participate in project meetings, providing updates and insights regarding estimation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
Minimum 5 years of MEP estimating experience, specifically mechanical systems.
Proven experience in piping, sheet metal, and plumbing estimation.
Strong knowledge of pre‑construction services (conceptual estimating, value engineering, lifecycle analysis).
Demonstrated project management skills, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with team, subcontractors, and clients.
Proficiency in estimation software and other relevant applications.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, keen attention to detail.
Proactive approach with ability to anticipate potential issues and develop effective solutions.
Salary ranges from $90,000 to $145,000 per year. This is a full‑time position.
