And you’ll provide leadership when it comes to guest data governance, policies and enhancements.As a **Loyalty** **Guest Engagement Lead**, you will define and lead the strategy for gamification at Target, bringing our loyalty vision to life through engaging, reward-driven experiences that motivate guest behavior and deepen brand affinity.In this role, you will own the **end-to-end vision and strategy for Target Circle gamification**, leveraging loyalty-based mechanics to increase trips, grow spend, strengthen retention, and elevate guest perception of Target. You will connect **fun, motivation, and value creation**- transforming gamification into a core driver of guest engagement and business impact.You will translate enterprise and loyalty priorities into **innovative gamified experiences** that deliver measurable outcomes, while building a roadmap that balances near-term performance with long-term platform evolution. This includes defining annual and quarterly strategies, campaign cadence, thematic moments, and a robust test-and-learn agenda.This role requires both **strategic vision and operational leadership** — partnering closely with Data Science, Product, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to design, scale, and optimize experiences that are personalized, financially sound, and operationally executable. To achieve these outcomes, your role will need to engage in the following activities:* Complete robust financial modeling and provide outcome scenarios for large strategic changes* Monitor results and communicate to stakeholders on necessary actions to achieve goals* Represent and drive loyalty integration within key company strategies* Report and develop weekly action plans on KPI results and on drivers of variance* Analyze root cause using both internal and external reporting tools and drive strategy adjustments as required* Gamification role will lead the integrated roadmap, capability enhancements, business case evaluation, and strategic vision and intent of gamificationCore responsibilities of this job are described within this job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.**About you:*** 4-year degree or equivalent work experience* 8+ years of previous Loyalty, Marketing Merchandising, or business experience* Experience designing or scaling gamified, incentive-based, or behavioral products a huge plus* Strong understanding of behavioral economics/motivational design* Strong financial acumen for both retail and cost accounting metrics* Ability to manipulate large data sets in ExcelDemonstrated leadership and decision-making skills* Ability to influence others using data and insights* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maximize relationships* Strategic orientation and comfort with ambiguity* Technical aptitude and experience working with technical team and new product systems is desirable.This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
