Loyalty Guest Engagement Lead, Gamification

Overview

Target Loyalty is a role focused on driving guest engagement and business impact through gamification and loyalty mechanics. You will define and lead the strategy for Target Circle gamification, translating priorities into innovative, measurable experiences that increase trips, grow spend, strengthen retention, and elevate guest perception of Target. This role requires strategic vision and operational leadership, partnering with Data Science, Product, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to design, scale, and optimize personalized, financially sound experiences. Responsibilities

Complete robust financial modeling and provide outcome scenarios for large strategic changes. Monitor results and communicate actions to stakeholders to achieve goals. Represent and drive loyalty integration within key company strategies. Report and develop weekly action plans on KPIs and drivers of variance. Analyze root causes using internal and external reporting tools and adjust strategy as required. Lead the integrated roadmap, capability enhancements, business case evaluation, and strategic vision for gamification. Translate enterprise and loyalty priorities into innovative gamified experiences with measurable outcomes. Define annual and quarterly strategies, campaign cadence, thematic moments, and a robust test-and-learn agenda. Collaborate across functions to design, scale, and optimize personalized experiences that balance near-term performance with long-term platform evolution. Qualifications

4-year degree or equivalent work experience 8+ years of loyalty, marketing merchandising, or business experience Experience designing or scaling gamified, incentive-based, or behavioral products is a plus Strong understanding of behavioral economics and motivational design Strong financial acumen for retail and cost accounting metrics Ability to manipulate large data sets in Excel Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills Ability to influence others using data and insights Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maximize relationships Strategic orientation and comfort with ambiguity Technical aptitude and experience working with technical teams and new product systems is desirable Role Details

This position operates as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. Core responsibilities may require onsite work at the Target HQ in Minnesota or virtually, depending on the day’s requirements.
