$70,000 - $95,000
Overview AmeriTech Contracting, a HIRE Vets Gold Medallion Awardee, offers transitioning service members direct training in federal construction. As a Traveling Superintendent, you will lead on‑site operations, enforce safety and quality standards, and coordinate subcontractors—building skills for a civilian career in construction leadership. Our mission is to deliver high-quality federal contracting solutions with integrity, honoring veterans and serving communities.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily site activities and enforce safety protocols
Review drawings, specs, and scopes of work
Conduct inspections, manage punch lists, and maintain documentation
Coordinate subcontractors and support project scheduling
Safety & Compliance
Enforce Accident Prevention Plan (APP)
Conduct safety audits and promote a proactive safety culture
Qualifications
4+ years construction experience
Strong knowledge of building methods and safety standards
Valid driver's license; ability to travel and obtain security clearance
Certifications (or willingness to obtain): OSHA 30, USACE CQM, EM 385-1-1, CPR/First Aid
Preferred: Procore experience, federal/USACE project background
SkillBridge Details
Type: On-the-Job Training (OJT)
Schedule: Full-time, standard site hours
Compensation: Unpaid (military pay/benefits continue)
Supervision: Daily mentorship, weekly reviews, career coaching
Career Path Superintendents can grow into senior leadership roles such as Project Manager or Director of Construction, gaining increased responsibility for budgeting, scheduling, and strategic oversight across federal and commercial projects.
Eligibility For active military members within the final 180 days of service and approved for SkillBridge.
