Our platform helps predict market trends, identify opportunities, and create seamless transactions that drive dealer profitability.
Role Overview The Business Development Representative (BDR), also known as a Setter, is responsible for handling all inbound and outbound leads, qualifying prospects, and ensuring only sales-ready opportunities are passed to our Inventory Consultants. This role serves as the bridge between marketing and closing, ensuring pipeline health, responsiveness, and high-quality handoffs.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and respond to inbound and outbound leads via phone, email, LinkedIn, and referrals
Make first contact and qualify prospects using defined criteria
Verify and update contact and company data in the CRM
Gather intake details to confirm scope, needs, and readiness
Nurture short-term leads until sales-ready
Book meetings or hand off qualified leads to Inventory Consultants
Provide complete handoff notes, including pain points, stakeholders, timing, and documentation
Re-engage existing accounts for additional opportunities, such as cross-sell and up-sell
Partner with Marketing to share feedback on lead quality and messaging
Track and report daily and weekly activity and performance metrics
Performance Metrics
Leads contacted and processed
Lead-to-qualified conversion rate
Speed to first contact
Quality and completeness of lead handoff
Meetings booked or demos scheduled
Qualifications
Comfortable with high-volume outbound calling and outreach
Strong follow-up discipline and persistence
Excellent organization and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Goal- and metric-driven mindset
Ability to quickly assess prospect fit and interest
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required
College coursework or degree preferred
No prior sales experience required; call center or telesales experience is a plus
Compensation and Classification
Hourly rate during first 90 days (burn-in period): $18.27 per hour (approximately $38,000 annualized)
Hourly rate after successful completion of burn-in: $20.19 per hour (approximately $42,000 annualized)
Bonus opportunity: Eligible to earn 2% of the Setter’s portion of closed deals generated from qualified leads
Bonus eligibility begins Day 1
Total compensation may exceed $42,000 annually based on performance
