
Financial Advisor Associate

The Financial Advisor Associate will support daily branch operations while developing industry expertise, ultimately being responsible for relationship management, account administration, and supporting senior advisors in business development and growth efforts. This person will be required to pass the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 exams within the first nine months of their employment. The ideal candidate will be willing to work at least 90% of the time in our downtown New Orleans office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS + RESPONSIBILITIES Branch Operations
Optimize the client experience with diligent and prompt completion of client requests
Process checks, wires, and ACH requests in accordance with compliance standards
Prepare and process client documentation for proper opening and maintenance of accounts
Monitor and respond to alerts regarding cash and accounts
Perform back-up for all operational functions as required by workloads and absence
Training and Licensing
Acquire SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses in the first nine months of employment
Complete Raymond James Financial Advisor Mastery Program (AMP) in the first 24 months of employment
Relationship Management
Serve as a secondary relationship manager for assigned HHG clients, deepening relationships through regular proactive communication and as-needed reactive communication
Communicate market trends and economic environments to clients through proactive and reactive communication
Maintain consistent client communication with client meetings and calls
Interpret and present retirement analyses to clients
Present general insurance tools, including annuities and LTC, when appropriate
Possess investment management acumen, and comfort communicating strategy to clients
Business Development
Contribute to HHG Prospect Pipeline strategy
Identify and solicit new business opportunities in existing client base
Manage prospect relationships through regular proactive communication and as-needed reactive communication
Represent firm and increase brand awareness during networking events and seminars
SKILLS
Deliver excellent client service with a patient and personable demeanor; anticipate their needs and institutionalize their preferences
Possess strong organizational skills; comfort with multi-tasking and managing multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and speed
Motivated for growth; committed to active professional development, securing required licenses, and completing institutional and industry trainings
Collaborative and participatory; support HHG’s teammates in daily operations and contribute to HHG’s larger strategy and service goals
EXPERIENCE + CREDENTIALS
5+ years of work experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Computer literacy in MS Office & Outlook; comfortable with learning new technology
