Checker/Technical Specification Writer
This position is an on-site role in Tewksbury, MA. The Checker/Technical Specification Writer performs document checking of engineering work and helps create technical documents and specifications. What You Will Do: Checking, editing, and coauthoring of technical specifications and engineering control drawings for clarity, completeness, adherence to MIL-STD-961 and ASME Y14.24 standards, as well as business and program requirements. Ensuring Statement of Work documents are accurate, complete, and support program contractual requirements. Process release and change objects and complete check tasks for technical specification and control drawings within the Product Data Management system. Modeling outline sketches for engineering control drawings. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communication or related degree and minimum of 5 years previous experience, OR in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required. Experience creating, editing, maintaining and/or checking technical specifications / documentation. Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Visio preferred) and/or Adobe Acrobat Pro.
