Overview
Merchandising Sales Associate
at Tractor Supply Company. The Field Activity Support Team (FAST) Team Member travels to stores within an assigned district to own and execute start-to-finish tasks such as planograms, merchandise and fixture assembly, and signage maintenance, while interacting with customers and team members to deliver a Legendary Customer Experience.
Responsibilities
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Work scheduled shifts and have the ability to work varied hours, days, nights, and overtime as dictated by business needs.
Communicate proactively with the District FAST Supervisor on work completion, issues, and solutions.
Complete planograms and resets accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain visual merchandise standards.
Perform store-specific measurements.
Complete store layout initiatives.
Perform accurate cycle counts.
Complete Tractor Way top cap process.
Hang store signage and assemble merchandise, fixtures, and PDQs.
Perform detailed recovery and review planogram integrity.

Ensure the customer has a Legendary shopping experience that differentiates from the competition.

FAST Team Members may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Prior retail and/or merchandising experience is required. Farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver’s license.
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Regardless of education level, FAST Team Members must be able to read, write and count accurately.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills Or Abilities
Farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Basic computer skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict.
Self-directed with the ability to complete assignments with little to no assistance.
Working Conditions
Generally indoor with moderate noise; environment is favorable.
Shifts vary by store, but typically no less than 4 hours and may exceed 8 hours.
Travel between store locations in a personal vehicle; long periods of travel may be required.
Promote a safe and productive work environment and adhere to safety guidelines.
Indoor floors and outdoor lots are hard surfaces; lighting and temperature are adequate.
Physical Requirements
Ability to travel as required to support district needs.
Ability to push/pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with proper equipment; lift or reach merchandise overhead as needed.
Frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
Access all areas of the store and operate store equipment (e.g., computer, cash register).
Read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation.
Move and transfer merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the store and move around the store for an entire shift.
Maintain physical and mental stamina to move quickly and safely in store and outdoor areas.
This position is non-sedentary.
