QA Automation Lead - Mortgage Domain

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
QA Automation Lead
with strong expertise in
Agile testing, API testing, test automation, and mortgage servicing/origination systems . The role involves leading
end-to-end testing strategy, automation development, and quality governance
for projects within the
Mortgage Origination space using the Empower Loan Origination platform by Dark Matter . The candidate will work closely with Product Owners, Engineering teams, and DevOps to ensure high-quality Agile releases through automation, metrics-driven quality practices, and continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities Provide
end-to-end testing support
for mortgage origination projects using
Empower by Dark Matter . Lead
test strategy, planning, execution, defect management, and status reporting
for business-critical projects. Define and improve
Agile Quality Management processes
including shift-left testing, automation strategy, and risk-based testing. Partner with
Product Owners, Engineering, and DevOps teams
to establish test standards, acceptance criteria, and Definition of Done. Drive
automation strategy and implementation
across Agile Scrum teams. Translate
business requirements and user stories into automated test features . Develop and maintain
test automation frameworks
using Selenium WebDriver with Java. Implement
Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
using Cucumber and generate automation reports. Perform
API functional and automation testing
using tools like Postman, SOAP UI, and Karate Framework. Conduct
database, ETL, and data warehouse testing
using complex SQL queries. Track
quality metrics, test coverage, and automation ROI
to improve release quality and identify risks early. Collaborate with
onshore and offshore QA teams
for project delivery and coordination. Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in
Agile Way of Working and Agile Quality Management . Expertise in
Test Automation using Selenium WebDriver with Java . Experience with
BDD frameworks such as Cucumber . Experience with
TestNG, Maven, and Git . Strong experience in
API testing using Postman, SOAP UI, and Karate Framework . Experience with
Test Management and Defect Management processes . Knowledge of
Mortgage Origination / Mortgage Servicing domain . Strong experience with
JIRA and Azure DevOps . Experience in
ETL testing, Data Warehouse testing, and SQL validation . Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to lead QA strategy in Agile environments. Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams. Experience working in
Onshore-Offshore delivery models . Preferred Skills
Experience with
