
Lead Commercial Proposal Manager (Remote Eligible)

Job Description Summary
The Commercial Manager (CM) drives functional and operational Commercial Intensity and rigor for assigned deal opportunities. The CM will manage quoting, proposal generation, contract negotiation, and turnover processes for assigned deal opportunities. In this role the CM will handle work that is less defined in scope, use prior experience to execute business objectives, and contribute to short‑term and long‑term planning and overall business strategy.
Responsibilities Work as a key member of the Clean Combustion team, supporting achievement of commitments, orders, sales, cash, operating profit, and margin targets for the applicable segment.
Collaborate with the Sales team, lead proposal generation and contract formation for upgrades, repairs, and site‑services projects, ensuring compliance with Company Risk Management policies. Support Sales during commercial and technical meetings
egotiations with customers.
Drive the proposal and contract process, developing scope, cost, risk, and market/value pricing strategy for assigned opportunities and providing technical and commercial solutions aligned with customer and Fossil Americas requirements.
Prepare and lead the Deal Team review process in coordination with leaders, subject‑matter experts, approvers, and functional teams.
Reduce cost‑of‑quality issues stemming from inaccurate scope, costing, or contract drafting throughout the process including handover and advance release.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a technical equivalent from an accredited institution.
More than 3 years of experience in Sales/Commercial Operations, or graduate of GE Leadership Program with 2 commercial assignments/projects in Energy/Industrial sectors.
Willingness to travel up to 15 % of the time.
Desired Characteristics
Experience with steam generators and core services in power plants.
Experience estimating and managing low to highly complex proposals.
Ability to develop and execute priorities and plans independently.
Strong technical and commercial oral and written communication skills.
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of internal and external customers.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and time‑management skills.
Self‑starter attitude and customer‑service mindset.

For Canadian‑based positions, compensation ranges from $127k to $170k CAD; for U.S.‑based positions, compensation ranges from $92,800 to $154,700 USD, with geographic differentials applied as appropriate.
