POSITION
Stores Consultant (Warehouse) – Marion Correctional Institution, Florida Department of Corrections
RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as the gatekeeper of security by processing all incoming and outgoing inmate and institutional mail, ensuring no contraband slips through and adhering to strict mail rules and procedures, including handling legal and privileged mail.
Deliver legal mail, maintain meticulous logs, and act as a notary when needed, ensuring every piece of mail is properly handled and documented.
Distribute institutional mail, prepare routine replies, update reports, and efficiently process inmate grievances to keep the institution running smoothly.
Provide clerical support for institutional operations, expertly handling court documents and assisting with various mailroom-related tasks.
Manage the warehouse inventory with precision, process received goods, place property tags, and assist vendors and staff with routine questions while maintaining professional relationships and clear communication.
Possibly require a CDL license.
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid driver’s license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Three (3) years of clerical experience with MS Office.
One (1) year of warehouse or inventory control experience.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, People First, Ariba, and MyFlorida Market Place.
BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT All applicants must pass a Level 2 background check under Chapter 435, Florida Statutes before starting work.
EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY FDC employs U.S. citizens or individuals authorized to work in the U.S. and uses E-Verify after completing the I-9 form. H‑1B visa sponsorship is not provided.
