Production Coordinator

Primary Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling:

Develop and manage production schedules to meet deadlines and optimize resource allocation.

Inventory Management:

Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring availability for production and minimizing waste.

Quality Control:

Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure products meet established standards.

Coordination & Communication:

Collaborate with production, engineering, and other teams to resolve issues, communicate changes, and maintain a smooth workflow.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate production records, prepare reports, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).

Safety Compliance:

Ensure adherence to safety regulations and promote a safe working environment within the production area.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.

Training & Supervision:

May be involved in training and supervising production staff.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong data entry skills; accuracy and speed are crucial.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Attention to detail: Accurate data entry and record-keeping are essential.

Basic understanding of production processes.

Organizational skills: Keeping records and managing data effectively.

Communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.

Familiarity with inventory management systems is helpful.

Physical/Working Requirements

Must pass periodic blood tests per OSHA requirements where applicable.

Must pass a brief physical exam & pulmonary function test to determine ability to wear a respirator when required where applicable.

Ability to lift material and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.

Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
