Job Summary
General Atomics (GA) and its affiliated companies specialize in high‑technology systems ranging from the nuclear fuel cycle to remotely piloted aircraft, airborne sensors, electric and electronic power generation systems, and advanced wireless and laser technologies. Roles and Responsibilities
Coordinate and expedite materials buy and delivery schedules of raw materials and sub‑assemblies.
Monitor progress of manufactured parts required for projects.
Coordinate and manage PCB builds, electronics inventory for PCBs, and delivery populations.
Assist in and/or monitor the design and development process by coordinating between engineering and manufacturing departments.
Coordinate engineering support for manufacturing requirements and ensure schedule parity.
Maintain project‑specific prototype inventory control.
Kit project‑specific material for manufacturing.
Coordinate Manufacturing Service Request activities by resolving priority schedule conflicts.
Review open engineering issues affecting sales orders and alert the planning and engineering departments of potential impacts.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Observe all laws, regulations, and obligations; maintain a productive and safe working environment.
Manage obsolescence of parts and raise issues to engineering.
Other duties as needed.
Job Qualifications
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in business, planning, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may substitute for education.
Basic knowledge of production and engineering support principles, practices, and standards.
Knowledge of supply chain processes.
Proactive initiative to meet internal schedules.
Customer-focused with the ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop innovative solutions.
Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and guide employees and managers.
Ability to contribute to new process or system development and communicate ideas.
Strong computer skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment; willingness to work extended hours and travel as required.
