
Private Dining Sales & Events Manager

Position Summary:
Responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the Gibsons Restaurant Group’s philosophy, which is based upon four distinct core beliefs:
Hospitality, Quality, Value and Family . As the sales manager for your designated location, you will be the primary liaison between sales and FOH/BOH operations. This role requires open availability including evening, weekend and holiday commitments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary sales liaison with FOH and BOH operations to ensure smooth communication.
Book group events for multiple locations within the group booking parameters, ensuring that sales progress seamlessly and accurately by following established process and procedures in order to meet or exceed annual sales goal.
Responsible to sell and grow the Gibsons brand by maintaining and building client relationships. Weekly outreach to develop these relationships is expected.
Respond to all initial inquiries to secure business. Record all client and event details into the CRM platform to ensure proper follow up.
Close all sales by collecting client deposit, signed contracts and BEOs.
Act as the primary contact with the client to finalize all details of their event: food, beverage, set up, rentals, etc.
Provide oversight to ensure all PDR events effectively maximize sales potential and delivery 100% customer satisfaction.
Maintain and promote among staff and other managers a “no-compromise” attitude toward providing the highest possible level of Hospitality, Quality, Value and Family to the customer.
Respond to customer complaints and resolve them in a way that ensures the customer will return again quickly and ensure that every customer leaves happy.
Maintain safe and secure working conditions throughout all areas of the operation for the well‑being of restaurant staff and the protection of restaurant assets.
Comply with all policies and procedures, current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations as directed by the Director of Sales and the General Manager.
Take action to ensure the standards of Gibsons Restaurant Group are upheld and applied firmly, fairly and that the DNA of the concept is preserved.
Confirm final billing accuracy post event and follow up with the client to ensure complete satisfaction.
Work with the team to internally troubleshoot any issues that arise.
May perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: Minimum of a high school diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or other four‑year degree preferred. Three to five years’ experience in a restaurant environment with at least one year of management experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills: Ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing with the public and with employees. Ability to speak, read and write English language. Ability to perform basic math skills including addition, multiplication, subtraction and percentages. Ability to make sound business decisions. Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions from the information at hand. Ability to maintain composure and poise under pressure. Strong computer knowledge and ability to learn new software programs.
