We are seeking a dedicated Life Engagement Director (LED). The LED is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive program designed to enhance the quality of life for residents. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing events and activities catering to residents' physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and intellectual needs.
Essential Duties
Plan and implement diverse activities promoting physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual well‑being of the residents
Foster positive relationships with residents through regular interaction and engagement
Plan and execute events that bring residents and their families together for social engagement
Manage the Life Engagement budget effectively, ensuring resources are used efficiently
Encourage resident participation and gather feedback to tailor activities to their preferences and needs
Work closely with other departments to ensure a holistic resident care and engagement approach
Design and implement a comprehensive life engagement program
Ensure all activities align with the core values of the organization
Lead and mentor the Life Engagement team, providing guidance and support to ensure quality programming
Education / Experience Requirements
College degree preferred
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
Strong leadership and team management skills
Activity Director Certified in Indiana
Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to innovate and adapt
Work independently, maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and be a positive leader
Demonstrate practical interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision‑making skills
Maintain good working relationships with residents and co‑workers
Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
