
Field Materials Management Analyst

Role summary
Support the distribution construction materials flow by managing virtual‑warehouse inventory, coordinating with Construction Supervisors and vendors, and reconciling project material at closeout. Primarily office‑based with occasional site coordination for laydown yards and projects around the Oncor service territory.
Key responsibilities
Operate and maintain the virtual warehouse: track material movement from order to laydown yard using Velocity, Smartsheets and Maximo.
Coordinate deliveries with Construction Supervisors, vendors, and laydown yards; prioritize West Texas and Southwest Parkway needs.
Reconcile material and inventory at project closeout and prepare handoffs to the next phase.
Generate and maintain routine inventory and reconciliation reports; keep project leaders updated.
Support inspectors/supervisors as needed for Texas material inspections.
Shadow and cross‑train with existing team members; help scale processes as crews/supervisors grow.
Use Maximo where applicable; assist with system data entry and clean‑up.
Maintain organized Excel workbooks (pivot tables, lookups) and other Microsoft products for tracking and analysis.
Required skills & experience
2+ years in materials/inventory coordination, construction logistics, or related role.
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas) and experience with tracking tools (Velocity, Smartsheets).
Comfortable with office‑based material management and occasional field coordination.
Clear communicator who can set expectations with contractors and vendors and produce concise reports.
Detail‑oriented with demonstrated reconciliation experience at project closeout.
High School Diploma or GED (required).
Preferred qualifications & experience
Experience with
Maximo
or similar EAM/CMMS systems.
Prior exposure to construction laydown‑yard logistics or Texas utility projects.
Familiarity working with construction supervisors or contractor‑driven supply chains.
Associate or bachelor's Degree.
