Job Description Overview
Implement the CEC developed State of Georgia Live Production and Post Production Pathways
Introduction to Audio Production (Level 1)
Audio Post-Prod Essentials for Studio and Broadcast (Lvl 2)
Audio Live Prod Essent for Film, Concert, & Television (Lvl 2)
Audio Live Prod Practicum (Level 3, teacher approval required)
Audio Post-Prod Practicum (Level 3, teacher approval required)
Engage, inspire and instruct 8th-12th grade students interested in audio.
Mentor Work Based Learning Interns to successfully produce 200+ events per year.
In addition to classroom instruction, be prepared to evaluate and fulfill audio production requests from the Coweta County School System, Coweta County Government, regional non‑profits and other clients where hands‑on student learning experiences occur (note: these regularly fall after school hours including occasional weekends).
Embrace, learn and integrate new technologies as the industry evolves and demands change.
Key Responsibilities
Classroom Instruction (8th-12th) State of GA Audio Production and Post-Production Standards
Collaborate with CEC Video, Music, Graphics, Work Based Learning and Academic Departments
Collaborate with Coweta County School System Communications Department
Qualifications
Demonstrable experience in the following areas:
Mentoring, Teaching, and/or Providing Hands‑on Training to Students
Live Sound / Concert Production
Event Management
Radio Frequency (Wireless)
Broadcast Television / Film Audio
Expertise in Mixing, Mastering, Microphones, and Digital Audio Technology
DAW Proficiency; Pro Tools + others
Acoustic Design and Room Treatment - Studio Construction
Preferred Skills
Industry Experience
Excellent Written and Verbal Communication
Spreadsheet Proficiency Including Equipment Budgeting and Procurement
Education / Certifications
5 yr Industry Experience
Dante I, II, AV minimum - Dante III a Plus
Shure Radio Frequency Certification
Discography of Retail Released Recordings Appropriately Credited
Memberships / Affiliations / Industry Connections
Audio Engineering Society Voting Member; active with the AES Atlanta Professional Section a Plus
The Recording Academy Voting Member, past or present
A "Rolodex" of Regional Industry Professionals, Including Post‑Secondary Educators to Serve as Industry Advisors
