
Residential Electrical Leadman

Job Summary
IES Residential is seeking an experienced Residential Electrical Leadman to join our growing team in El Paso, TX. This is a working foreman position responsible for leading a crew of electricians and apprentices while actively performing electrical installations in new single‑family residential construction. The Leadman ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with IES Residential standards, project specifications, and applicable codes.
Responsibilities
Lead and participate in daily electrical tasks including layout, rough‑in, and trim‑out phases
Supervise and support electricians and apprentices on job sites
Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and blueprints
Enforce IES Residential safety policies and OSHA requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently
Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, builders, and team members
Maintain accurate timekeeping, work orders, and material usage documentation
Ensure installations meet IES quality standards and inspection requirements
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of residential electrical experience
At least 1 year in a leadership or crew lead role
Current Texas Residential Wireman or Journeyman Electrician license (Required)
Strong knowledge of NEC, blueprint reading, material takeoffs, and residential wiring practices
Strong troubleshooting and leadership skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to read, write, and speak English (Required)
Bilingual English/Spanish (Preferred)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Must pass background check and drug screening
Physical requirements: ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch for extended periods; climb ladders, perform repetitive hand and arm movements; work outdoors in Texas weather conditions
Work Environment Active residential construction job sites; exposure to outdoor weather conditions including heat, wind, and dust; work in attics, crawl spaces, and framed structures; use of ladders, scaffolding, and power tools; fast‑paced production environment.
