
Key Accounts Representative

The Key Accounts Representative manages, develops, and retains relationships with commercial and industrial customers, ensuring reliable natural gas service and a high‑quality customer experience. This role supports customers participating in the Transportation Service Program, provides rate and usage analysis, and assists with issue resolution and project coordination.
In addition to traditional Key Accounts responsibilities, the role incorporates broader customer development elements, including proactive outreach, early‑stage opportunity identification, and market awareness. The Key Accounts Representative maintains strong internal and external relationships, monitors emerging customer needs, and contributes to discussions that support program enhancement, growth opportunities, and overall commercial strategy. This position is based fully onsite at our Downtown Tulsa office, but will include customer visits.
What You Will Do Perform responsibilities relative to developing and retaining commercial and industrial accounts.
Manage development of and account activities for commercial and industrial accounts including:
Account relations / customer service
Business and customer attraction / development
Business retention
Net profit management
Proactive identification of growth opportunities for existing or prospective customers
Analyze customer account information to handle account inquiries.
Perform contract negotiations to attract new business and retain main accounts.
Present sales proposals or provide gas service related information to business prospects.
Research and prepare information including:
Rate agreements
Usage reports
Tariff analysis
Rate comparisons
Cost analysis
Conduct early intake conversations with prospects to understand needs and route opportunities internally
Gather preliminary market or customer data to support internal evaluation
Engage with internal partners (Engineering, Gas Supply, Rates, Economic Development) to support opportunity evaluation
Assist in tracking opportunities through early‑stage development steps
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be asked to perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
What You Will Need Preferred Bachelor's degree in business, communications, engineering, finance, other related field, or an equivalent combination of formal and the following job-related experience:
Working knowledge of utility industry.
Perform economic and financial project analysis.
Apply algebraic equations, and general math skills.
Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and related software.
Experience with:
Rate and usage analysis
Read and interpret tariffs, terms of contracts, industry publications, technical manuals, market reports, account data, and company procedures.
Research and prepare account correspondence, rate agreements, usage reports, account analysis, and rate comparison.
Conduct sales meetings.
Read and write fluently in English.
Applicable driver's license. Requires travel to other company locations, and to outside meetings with customers and others.
Mobility to travel in and around office facilities.
Communicate and exchange information; conduct oral presentations.
Visual requirements to perform job responsibilities.
