Assistant Dining Services Director We are seeking an experienced and motivated

Assistant Director of Dining Services

to support daily operations and lead exceptional food service experiences.

Description Assists the Dining Services Director in planning, coordination, and implementation of the quality dining program for residents, staff, and guests. Oversees the dining program across all venues and may act as interim Dining Service Director when necessary. The role partners closely with the Director to lead the dining team, maintain standards, support budgeting and compliance, and drive continuous improvement.

Essential Job Functions

Assume the responsibilities of the Department Director in their absence.

Schedule staff and organize the department to meet daily dietary needs.

Ensure proper equipment operation and that preventive maintenance is met.

Schedule training and in‑service compliance as needed (e.g., 5‑Star Server training and ServSafe certification).

Supervise purchasing functions and inventory.

Implement, oversee, and document sanitation guidelines for all dining service venues.

Oversee daily dining service meals to ensure an overall quality resident experience.

Essential Qualifications

Education: Certified Dietary Manager or a college degree in a related subject required.

Five years of similar experience in a high‑volume, hospitality‑oriented, customer‑service focused environment.

Must be ServSafe certified or have the ability to become certified within 90 days of hire.
