ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGEMENT - Risk Architecture –Associate
The Enterprise Risk Management team is responsible for ensuring that the firm’s risks are managed systemically, such that the firm has a regular, comprehensive view of its risk profile as well as of key trends and emerging risks that could potentially affect the firm’s overall risk profile. We ensure that Risk and senior leadership is consistently informed on the holistic risk profile, inclusive of financial and non-financial risks, in a way that facilitates strategic planning and risk decision making. Key responsibilities:
Support governance and maintenance of the firm’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework and related policies and procedures Perform risk review and challenge of processes related to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework Demonstrate operational effectiveness of the components of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework Identify, govern and oversee focus risk residual areas as well as the monitoring and implementation of remediation plans Assist with assessment processes including review, monitoring and tracking of the firm’s Significant Strategic Business Initiatives Assist in developing high-quality materials for senior management and committee forums Engage with stakeholders across the Risk Division and businesses to enhance and drive consistency across the firm’s risk management processes Assist in managing compliance with regulatory requirements and addressing periodic regulatory inquiries Contribute to key cross divisional risk initiatives/projects under direction of senior risk leadership of the firm Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree 3-6 years of experience, preferably at a large financial services firm within Risk Development of policies and procedures related to enterprise risk management as implemented by a large financial services firm Applying risk management expertise to ensure consistency across risk management policies Project management experience in the development of risk management platforms including process improvement of internal reports, key performance metrics and indicators and remediation plans Ability to comfortably and effectively interact with internal risk experts, business units and various stakeholders outside of Risk, including senior management Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently Critical thinking to perform review and challenge Team orientated with an interest in coaching junior team members and providing leadership where necessary Proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel- SharePoint is a plus Comfortable using Artificial Intelligence such as Copilot in day-to-day functions Goldman Sachs is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, veterans status, disability, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
