MedTech Sales – Sales Associate (Orthopaedics) – Indianapolis, Indiana, United States
Overall responsibilities of the Sales Associate include providing clinical and customer support in hospitals and procedures while ensuring high-level customer service, sales logistics, technical expertise, and product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the sales organization in retaining and supporting further penetration with existing customers, while supporting product conversions with new customers.
Assist in achieving established sales goals including market share objectives within the prescribed territory.
Apply knowledge of sales process, product portfolio and customer knowledge to improve sales outcomes.
Guide and assist surgeons in the operating room, presenting, demonstrating, and ensuring proper utilization of DePuy Synthes products.
Support customers by attending surgeries, ensuring proper equipment is available and optimised, and providing OR and Sterile Processing Department consultation.
Troubleshoot and provide technical assistance; handle customer requests, manage hospital billing, create and close purchase orders.
Share key customer, procedural, and marketplace insights with sales, clinical, marketing, and strategic account teams.
Prepare sales reports and documents as required.
Maintain, track, and deploy equipment and assets, ensuring product availability.
Ensure promotional materials are maintained and presentable and that services meet highest quality standards.
Focus on customer satisfaction and retention, differentiating DPS products from competition by providing unique insights.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree or Medical Certification (CST, PT, etc.) with minimum 2 years of professional or related experience.
Minimum of 4 years of professional or related experience, or recently transitioned from Active Military Duty.
Ability to work in a lab/operating room environment.
Valid driver’s license issued in the United States.
Ability to travel, including weekends and/or overnight travel.
Willingness to reside in or relocate to the posted territory.
Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, influencing, strategic thinking, problem‑solving, and business acumen skills.
Proficiency, efficiency, organisation, self‑motivation, positivity, and pro‑activeness.
Strong technical product knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, protocols and solutions preferred.
