Position Summary
As a Produce Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Produce and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
Responsibilities
Be a Team Leader: supervise the team in Produce and Floral area to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club.
Communicate the goals of the department, execute company programs, adhere to policies, and advocate for the member, associate, and the company.
Work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club is meeting member expectations.
Be an Expert: maintain an in‑depth knowledge of floor/backroom operations, ensuring the produce area meets company standards for quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety, and compliance.
Manage seasonality in terms of item volume, product knowledge, processes, and prioritizing time between areas.
Collaborate with associates to ensure the team has resources to do their job effectively, sharing knowledge and training the team.
Leverage digital tools: plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality, adopt new tools, and encourage others.
Be an Owner: drive business results, plan for profitability, maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area, manage staffing levels, audit and compliance standards, and model a commitment to member service.
Be a Talent Ambassador: train the team to be highly effective, identify potential and desire in others, provide and develop necessary skills, encourage career growth, source new talent internally and externally, and establish effective processes.
Promote compliance: uphold company policies, procedures, and ethical standards; implement action plans, use the Open Door Policy, and assist management in correcting ethical and compliance issues.

Compensation The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 to $29.00*.
The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
Minimum Qualifications
6 months experience working in a fresh production department or 6 months experience supervising a team.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to complete all job‑required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.
Preferred Qualifications
Supervising a team.
Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
