Job Summary
Under the direction of the Payment Processing Supervisor, following established MAOF procedures the Payment Processing Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all childcare providers are paid accurately and promptly.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Culturally sensitive, with the ability to work effectively with diverse social, ethnic, religious, and cultural communities.
Possesses a positive attitude and a strong desire to support and promote the well‑being of children and their families.
Genuine commitment to delivering high‑quality service to the public.
Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending work‑related materials, with the ability to perform arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced setting.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with staff.
Advanced mathematical abilities.
Computer proficient.
Ability to foster cooperative and diplomatic relationships with colleagues and supervisors; capable of working collaboratively as part of a team and within departments; able to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities and assignments.
