JOB DESCRIPTION As a Residential Architectural Drafter, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans using REVIT and/or AutoCAD software. Your attentions to detail and ability to interpret specifications will be crucial in ensuring accurate and precise drawings, while also being able to meet deadlines. You must be team-oriented, capable of maintaining effective, professional, and courteous working relationships. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with passion for drafting and design to contribute to the development of residential projects.
DRAFTER RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE
Creating compete sets of detailed technical construction drawings and plans based on project specifications from redlines and sketches
Collaborate with engineers, builders, and other professionals to gather necessary information
Utilize REVIT (preferred) and AutoCAD software to draft residential plans sets
Incorporate feedback and make necessary revisions to drawings
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Prepare plot plans, erosion plans, and storm plans for residential homes
Update plans from truss, joist, and engineering documents
Work with local municipalities to get jobs through permitting
Ability to create color renderings is a plus
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Proficiency in REVIT, and AutoCAD software REQUIRED
Residential construction or home remodeling drafting experience is required
Strong understanding of drafting principles and techniques
Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into accurate drawings
Knowledge of mechanical design principles is a plus
Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
Familiarity with building codes and permitting standards in WA and OR is preferred
