Travel Business Specialist, Senior What You’ll Work On

Interpret the latest Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and HHS travel policies.

Develop and maintain user-friendly procedural guidance, educational materials, and communications products to inform and educate stakeholders on federal travel policies, procedures, regulations, and compliance.

Develop and maintain process‐related documentation such as workflow charts and process maps to document and improve travel‐related business processes.

Compile, analyze, and report travel‐related data and metrics to support program oversight, decision‑making, and process improvement.

Contribute to the development and execution of change management and stakeholder engagement strategies for travel‐related initiatives.

Collaborate closely with the Travel Lead and other internal stakeholders to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement best practices.

Stay informed on any new federal travel policies and communicate any changes to stakeholders.

What You Have

5+ years of experience coordinating federal travel.

Experience applying Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and HHS travel policies in an operational setting.

Experience creating workflow charts and process documentation using tools such as Visio or PowerPoint.

Experience authoring policy or process artifacts such as SOPs or guidance documents.

Experience compiling, interpreting, and presenting travel‐related data.

Ability to independently manage and lead projects or workstreams in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, including planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement.

Ability to translate complex policy and process information into clear, concise, user‑friendly materials with strong attention to clarity, visual design, and audience needs.

Bachelor’s degree.

Nice If You Have

Experience supporting HHS travel.

Experience operating in an R & D environment.

Ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Ability to be well‑organized, detail‑oriented, and adept at multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities to meet deadlines.

Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Change Management or Business Process Improvement Certification.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
