On The Way Home Consultant
Provides post-program consultation on dropout prevention, parental support and involvement, and home and school academic interventions.
Location:
Council Bluffs
Pay:
$20.50-$23.50/hr

Full-Time (part-time also available)
Shifts:
Flexible, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What you’ll be doing:
Providing in-home services, school advocacy, and academic support to youth and families
Delivering parent training to strengthen family dynamics
Collaborating with schools, social agencies, and community partners
Traveling to homes and schools to provide hands‑on support
Ensuring safety, documentation, and model fidelity in every interaction
Who we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services (or high school diploma with 3+ years of relevant experience in the Boys Town Model)
At least 1 year of experience working with children and families
Valid driver’s license with good driving record and ability to pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration check
Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally
Availability for crisis response and rotational work, including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical & Safety Requirements:
Ability to manage stressful situations and provide crisis response
Comfortable working in varied home and community settings
Physically and emotionally capable of performing duties in diverse settings
Other Duties:
Other duties may be required and assigned as determined by a supervisor.
Serves as a role model in carrying out activities and behaviors that reflect the values and principles of the Boys Town mission.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Reasonably expected to maintain strength, agility, and endurance to perform duties during stressful situations without compromising health.
Perform duties in varied environments ranging from highly stressful to casual; subject to outside weather conditions and may require traveling to substandard living conditions.
