Overview
Our client is a well‑established, mid‑sized personal injury law firm located in downtown Tampa, and they are seeking an experienced
Personal Injury Paralegal
to support a busy litigation practice focused on catastrophic injury. This role is integral to the firm's day‑to‑day operations and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented legal environment. In addition, the Paralegal is the primary point of contact for clients and is an integral part of building and maintaining those relationships.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive paralegal support to attorneys handling personal injury and insurance bad faith matters
Assist with all phases of litigation, including case preparation, document management, and trial support
Draft, edit, and format pleadings, correspondence, discovery materials, and other legal documents
Manage case files and maintain electronic and physical records in compliance with firm standards
Coordinate deadlines, filings, and court‑related requirements
Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court staff
Support attorneys with trial preparation and case logistics
Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Collaborate closely with attorneys and legal staff to ensure efficient case progression
Requirements
Minimum of
5 years of paralegal experience , preferably in personal injury and/or insurance law
College degree or Paralegal Certificate highly preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint is a plus
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
Compensation & Benefits
$60,000 to $70,000, based on education and prior legal experience)
