Elevate Academy is dedicated to providing hands‑on learning opportunities for students, linking traditional academics to the trades they will study. Students will explore various paths, develop soft‑skills employers value, and pursue passions.
Responsibilities
Build Relationships
Create connections between stakeholders to foster positive interaction and a trusting environment that enhances education and supports student growth.
Identify community members and partners that can provide opportunities to engage, inspire, and ignite passion in students.
Share and innovate with colleagues to collaborate on best options and pathways for all students outside of the traditional classroom.
Engage in Collective Efficacy
Support a unified effort to overcome challenges and produce results for students, believing in Elevate’s mission and vision.
Implement Next Step Ready (NSR) curriculum developed with students, parents, and industry partners.
Implement and design curriculum centered around Career Technical Education.
Crosswalk standards to align with trades.
Teach students skills that align with the trade.
Scaffold instruction using learning hooks; assess student progress and engage at appropriate growth levels.
Implement Tough Love
Set high expectations and follow through on actions when expectations are not met.
Work with students using proven strategies to move them toward owning their education.
Be open to continuously learn.
Skills Required
Bachelor’s Degree or minimum 5 years industry experience required in related field (Elevate can help with teacher certification process).
Idaho State teaching certification in appropriate subject areas (Bachelor’s Degree required; preferable in related field).
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Physical ability to sit or stand for long periods and occasionally lift objects.
Reliability in reporting to work regularly and punctually.
Willingness to perform related work delegated or required to accomplish school program objectives.
Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology.
Meet professional teacher education requirements at school, district, and state levels.
