
Coordinator, Global Fixture Development Designer (Architecture / Millwork Design

The Coordinator, Global Fixture Development supports the design and execution of millwork initiatives and helps maintain the global library of fixtures and visual merchandising (VM) props. This role partners closely with internal teams across Architecture, Visual Merchandising, Procurement, Production, Construction, and external vendors to support the development and documentation of retail fixtures and environments.
Hybrid- 3 days a week on-site, 2 days remote
Up to $35/hr pending level and experience
Possible temp to perm for the right fit
This is a detail-oriented, hands-on role focused on design support, documentation accuracy, and cross-functional coordination throughout the fixture development process.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development of new retail fixtures and VM props in alignment with design direction and brand standards
Assist in preparing and refining millwork and fixture design drawings
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Production, Construction, and Visual Merchandising
Support supplier communication by assisting with RFIs, pricing requests, and design clarifications
Review shop drawings, finish samples, and prototypes, helping track and communicate feedback within required timelines
Maintain and update the global fixture, millwork, and finish library to ensure accuracy and accessibility
Assist in preparing materials for weekly design reviews and presentations
Support documentation management to ensure consistency across global projects
Help track project updates, revisions, and design changes across multiple initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
Understanding of millwork detailing, materials, and basic fabrication methods
Strong interest in furniture, retail design, and architectural interiors
Proficiency in 3D and design tools such as SketchUp, Rhino, or 3ds Max (or similar)
Familiarity with SketchUp Layout, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), AutoCAD, and Excel
Strong visual communication and presentation skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines
Strong collaboration and communication skills across teams and vendors
Professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, or related field
1–2 years of relevant experience in millwork, retail design, architecture, or construction (internship experience applicable)
