SUMMARY
Responsibility for machining, fitting, assembling, and finishing to make and repair molds.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Benching & spotting of aluminum and steel prototype & production molds
Ability to disassemble and reassemble molds with minimal supervision
Assemble molds in accordance with tool designs and accepted procedures.
Build and/or repair injection molds in accordance with mold designs and accepted procedures.
Perform quality checks as required by our standards and procedures.
Make changes as necessary to the tool.
Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and modifications on injection molds.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
Must be experienced in Blueprint reading, interpretation, and GD&T
Ability to perform calculations and conduct moderate analysis
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum 2 years of experience utilizing bridgeports, lathes, radial drills, surface grinders, etc. Experience using hand tools is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Work requires walking, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, grasping, crouching, pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
