Job Title
The Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of all mechanical equipment or devices used on the golf courses. This role is tasked with diagnosing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing the various mechanical pieces of the Baltimore Municipal Golf Corporation (BMGC) autos, trucks, mowers, and utility vehicles. Essential Functions
Routinely inspect and maintain assigned equipment. Effectively diagnose defects and perform repairs. Set and adjust mower reels. Disassemble and overhaul engines to return to operation. Perform maintenance and repair on various assemblies including: transmissions, differentials, carburetors, fuel pumps, steering systems, starters, universal joints, hydraulic systems, high pressure sprayers, etc. Regularly install and adjust brakes, install batteries, tire, wiring, and glass. Maintain a preventative maintenance program. Communicate and coordinate with multiple superintendents. Efficiently perform welding. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and time worked. Perform emergency repairs when needed. Skills/Abilities

3 or more years of experience with the maintenance and repair of light and heavy construction equipment and automotive apparatus Demonstrated skill in the use of a wide variety of equipment repair tools Thorough understanding of various types of combustion engines Skill in diagnosing mechanical troubles and determining appropriate maintenance A valid Class B Maryland driver's license
