
Part-Time Honors Program Recruitment and Retention Coordinator

The Indiana University (IU) Southeast Honors Program (IUSHP) strives to provide an enriching academic experience that promotes intellectual growth, personal responsibility, and community engagement. The Honors Program seeks a self-motivated, detail-oriented part-time employee to assist with recruitment and retention efforts. The person in this position will work closely with the Honors Program Director to revise and implement recruitment messaging for the IU Southeast Honors Program, and will also evaluate Honors student data to identify and troubleshoot impediments to retention.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Assists Director in developing and scheduling on-campus recruitment events including informational meetings and appearances at open house and orientation events.
Attends some weekend events (e.g., Campus Open House twice per year) as required.
Assembles and distributes electronic mailings to prospective students.
Collaborates with campus staff to evaluate Honors student data and develop personalized retention plans.
Assists Director in providing personalized outreach to Honors students.
Collaborates with Student Event Coordinator to promote student engagement.
Complies with FERPA policy. Maintain confidentiality of records and information.
Education (Required)
Bachelor's degree
Work Experience Required:
1 year of relevant experience
Preferred:
Experience working in a university setting
Skills (Required)
Excellent customer service skills
General keyboarding skills (45 words per minute)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
Ability to learn and work with campus administrative systems
Organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work on multiple tasks
Ability to work with a wide range of people
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrates self-motivation
Noted aptitude for managing multiple projects
Ability to maintain confidential student data
This position requires sedentary work and the ability to remain stationary for extended periods.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour Hours: 10-15 hours per week
