Responsibilities & Qualifications The Human Resources Director
oversees HR functions and directs HR Generalists and activities across multiple plant/off‑site locations in a region. While they are responsible for the ongoing effectiveness and productivity of HR administrative functions (e.g., compliance, benefits administration, reporting) their focus is associate engagement (Be Remarkable), talent acquisition/management, performance management, and associate relations. This role supports both associates and management, ensuring effective deployment and support of ImageFIRST values and work‑environment initiatives as well as HR programs, practices, and operations.
Responsibilities:
Prioritize Safety:
Demonstrate care for associates and their safety on and off the job.
Engage Associates:
Coach/advise RVPs, GMs and HRGs in how to effectively own the ImageFIRST Be Remarkable initiative. Drive the development of a coaching culture and leaders who lead “The ImageFIRST Way”.
Recruit, On‑Board and Orient Associates:
Ensure HRGs are effectively deploying and utilizing recruiting processes and tools. Ensure an engaging and complete onboarding and orientation experience for all levels of associates.
Achieve Leadership Effectiveness in Coaching for Performance and Development (CPD):
Deploy CPD training and subsequently coach RVP/GM/Managers/HRGs to integrate CPD perspectives/skills into their actions and behaviors. HRMs are expected to own the development of the leaders in their region. This initiative will be a true barometer of HRMs effectiveness.
Operational Excellence of HR Processes, Compliance & Policy:
Ensure observance of local HRGs and their leadership to HR processes, procedures, policies, investigations and certification/safety training requirements.
25% travel:
1‑3 days every other week to a location in the West Region.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 8 years of experience overseeing
Human Resources Bachelor’s Degree
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (esp. in Excel) and HRIS software
Strong organizational and time‑management skills
Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
Analytical problem solving
Proven ability to lead a team (local and remote)
Knowledge, experience and proficiency: basic HR compliance, labor/employee relations
