Hitachi Energy is seeking a Continuous Improvement Leader – North America. The Integrated Transformer Management (ITM) System is the global Transformers business unit Lean management system that defines how we operate as an organization and how we run the business. This role is responsible for leading and driving sustainable and transformational changes across the end‑to‑end product line, focusing on process improvement, ITM System maturity, improvement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and best‑practice implementation across multiple factories.

Your responsibilities

Partner with product‑line cross‑functional leadership in developing and operationalizing the Strategy Deployment process and Operations Center approach; facilitate development of breakthrough objectives, action plans, KPI’s (Bowlers) and lead the Kaizen plan to support overall needs of the organization.

Change agent and champion of a continuous‑improvement culture focused on waste elimination across product‑line organizations using ITM System lean methods, processes, and tools such as 5S, Daily Management, LSW, Value Stream or Process Mapping, Kaizen, etc.; lead all activities to implement the ITM System and drive improved maturity scores.

Drive optimization of KPIs throughout product‑line factories and functional organizations; lead and facilitate process improvement and partner with cross‑functional teams at all levels to use ITM System tools to drive productivity and financial impact.

Create, manage and facilitate cost‑out and productivity projects to achieve product‑line targets; train team members in using RELEX reporting of improvement projects and sustain results through problem‑solving and counter‑measures.

Build continuous improvement capability through training and implementation of ITM System tools and methods; be the expert on the ITM System and coach others to build people and organization capabilities.

Conduct training and routine coaching to align ITM leaders and factory managers on standardized deployment, drive best‑practice implementation, and build a team of ITM professionals to advance maturity.

Your background and skills

15+ years in Lean operating/management systems, continuous improvement, manufacturing, engineering, or transactional process improvement.

Experience implementing major Lean systems (e.g., Toyota, Danaher, Honeywell, etc.).

Certifications in Lean/Six Sigma (Lean Master, Lean Expert, Black Belt, etc.) are a plus.

Proven track record of delivering breakthrough results.

Strong communication, teamwork, leadership, and influencing skills.

Ability to lead remote teams and travel at least 50% to NAM product‑line factories and for Kaizens, strategic workshops, etc.

Ability to influence leadership teams to make transformational change across the product line.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
