What will you be doing? As part of the Structured Finance Valuation team, you will assist in the valuation of renewable and alternative energy assets—including solar, wind, fuel‑cell, biogas, and battery storage. You will review and consider client‑provided information such as projected cash flows and related documentation, then use market, industry, and internal data to derive indications of value via discounted cash flow analysis.

Responsibilities

Lead engagement lifecycle, following process, timelines, and delivering valuation schedules and narrative reports to clients.

Build and update financial models using discounted cash flow analyses and perform additional modeling as required.

Train junior team members and review models and inputs.

Conduct due diligence and maintain client documentation for model building and deliverables.

Review market and industry information for financial models and discount rate analysis.

Maintain effective control processes to monitor and track changes to valuation model assumptions.

Prepare, create, and review reports and other deliverables for clients.

Communicate efficiently and effectively with all levels of the engagement team.

Core Qualifications

Minimum 5–7+ years of valuation and modelling experience at a Big 4, investment bank, or independent valuation firm.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.

Experience in the renewable and alternative energy industry.

Strong writing skills and experience developing reports with Microsoft Word.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; VBA/Macros experience a plus.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Effective project management, time management and organizational skills.

Ambitious, results‑driven, self‑starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial culture.

Additional Qualifications Viewed Favorably

Experience with coding (VBA or other) in the context of building financial models.

Qualified or studying for a professional qualification such as CFA, ASA, CPA.
