Job Description ABOUT THE ROLE:
Oracle Database & System Administrator to support the **** accounting system, Oracle EBS (GL, AP, AR) and the 25 Oracle APEX applications and the underlying Oracle Databases. This includes quarterly security patching, system and database upgrades, problem resolution, and deployments. This role requires knowledge of Oracle EBS and Oracle database features. Experience with applications developed using Oracle APEX versions 21 and 24 and workflow features. This position may require some night and weekend work due to patching.
Responsibilities
Provide Oracle Application database administration for version 19 and related EBS environments.
Deploy changes for Oracle APEX applications (versions 21 and 24) with workflow.
Administer Oracle E-Business Suite R12 running in a Linux environment and perform EBS system administration tasks.
Manage Oracle database upgrade projects and maintenance, patching/upgrades, and issue resolution (including creating Oracle service requests).
Work with Windows and Linux operating systems; manage Oracle database job scheduler and related tasks.
Apply best practices for RDBMS and SDLC processes; communicate effectively and provide accurate effort estimates.
Develop and maintain technical documentation that is usable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Write scripts to perform routine data loads and support data integration tasks.
Possibly design Oracle-based solutions and contribute to software development efforts.
Assist with migrating Oracle EBS and databases from on-prem Private Cloud Appliance (PCA) to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Experience with waterfall and agile SDLC methodologies.
Qualifications
Experience with Oracle Application database administration version 19 – Required (5 years)
Experience with Oracle APEX versions 21 and 24 with workflow – Required (5 years)
Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12 running in Linux environment – Required (5 years)
Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) System Administration – Required (5 years)
Experience with Windows and Linux OS – Required (5 years)
Experience with Oracle database maintenance, patching/upgrades, creating Oracle service requests, resolving issues promptly – Required (5 years)
Experience with the Oracle database job scheduler – Required (5 years)
Strong understanding of RDBMS principles, Oracle database related best practices, and SDLC awareness – Required (5 years)
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members; provide accurate and realistic effort estimates – Required (5 years)
Strong verbal and written communication skills – Required (5 years)
Ability to create clear and usable technical and non-technical documentation – Required (5 years)
Experience with writing scripts to perform routine data loads – Required (5 years)
Experience with SQL, PL/SQL – Required (5 years)
A good understanding of software development life cycle and experience with waterfall and/or agile SDLC methodologies – Required (5 years)
