What we’re looking for
The Consultant supports delivery of advisory engagements across
strategy, M&A, financial advisory, operational excellence, and digital transformation , with a
primary focus on M&A and financial analysis .
The role contributes to complex client engagements through
due diligence, pre & post deal advisory, financial modelling, business case development, and investment analysis , while supporting
operational and digital initiatives
as part of integrated advisory solutions. The Consultant applies structured thinking, strong analytical capability, and commercial judgement to help clients make informed strategic and investment decisions.
The role is suited to candidates with an
engineering background and MBA , strong exposure to
finance and M&A , and preferably experience in maritime/infrastructure, enabling effective engagement with both commercial and operational stakeholders.

The role
Support end-to-end delivery of advisory engagements, contributing to high-quality outputs aligned with agreed scope, timelines, and quality standards.
Work effectively with client stakeholders, internal teams, and subject‑matter experts to deliver integrated, value-focused solutions.
Demonstrate a clear understanding of client objectives, constraints, and operating context.
Support M&A and transaction‑related engagements, including
Commercial and operational due diligence
Market and target assessment
Synergy identification and integration considerations
Develop and maintain financial models, including forecasts, valuation support, scenario and sensitivity analysis.
Support preparation and review of business cases, investment appraisals, and strategic options assessments.
Analyse financial statements, cost structures, and profitability drivers to support strategic and investment decisions.
Support operational excellence initiatives, including
Process mapping and diagnostics
Performance benchmarking
Identification of cost, efficiency, and productivity improvement opportunities
Contribute to development of practical, implementable recommendations aligned with client operating realities.
Contribute to digital advisory engagements from a business and value perspective, including
Digital maturity or readiness assessments
Benefits identification and value tracking
Business input to digital roadmap or system selection activities
Prepare clear, concise, and structured client deliverables, including reports, presentations, and financial analyses.
Support proposal development, market research, and preparation of client pitch material.
Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, development of methodologies, and continuous improvement of advisory delivery.
Actively pursue professional development to strengthen consulting, financial, and industry expertise.
What you bring
Engineering or bachelor’s degree from a recognised university and MBA / master’s in management.
Typically, 5–8 years of relevant experience in management consulting, corporate finance, M&A advisory, or transaction support roles.
Demonstrated experience in M&A, transaction advisory, or financial analysis.
Prior experience in maritime, shipping, offshore, energy, or asset-intensive industries is preferred.
Strong grounding in corporate finance, valuation, and financial modelling.
Exposure to operational excellence, performance improvement, or transformation initiatives.
Exposure to digital transformation or digital advisory is desirable.
Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving skills.
Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability.
Ability to synthesise complex analysis into clear, actionable insights.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a consulting environment.
Professional, collaborative, and client‑focused approach.
Proficiency in the English language.
Willingness to travel and work from client or LR offices as required.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to transaction due diligence and business plan development.
Understanding of operational processes in regulated or asset-intensive environments.
Familiarity with process improvement or continuous improvement concepts.
