Commercial Account Manager – Property & Casualty
Location: On-site
At Alera Group, our Property & Casualty team helps businesses protect their assets, manage risk, and plan confidently for the future. We’re seeking a Commercial Account Manager who will support risk strategy, client service excellence, and operational accuracy.

This role will focus on partnering with mid-market commercial client accounts and collaborating with insurance carriers during the renewal process and with Commercial Lines Producers to provide support to their clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES What You’ll Do / Your Impact Client Partnership & Risk Strategy
Serve as a key service partner for assigned commercial lines clients, supporting retention and long‑term relationships
Coordinate closely with Producers to manage renewals and new business activity
Respond to client and carrier inquiries in a timely, professional manner
Support client risk management needs through accurate documentation and proactive follow‑up
Operational Excellence
Coordinate policy expirations and maintain renewal timelines and suspense systems
Assist with marketing new and renewal business by preparing applications, proposals, and summaries
Review new and renewal quotes and policies for accuracy, including coverages, limits, and rating
Prepare policy change requests, certificates, binders, ID cards, and other insurance documents
Invoice premium‑bearing transactions accurately and timely
Maintain organized electronic records in accordance with agency procedures and E&O standards
Follow agency compliance guidelines and insurance regulations
Strategic Contribution
Support Producers and internal teams to deliver seamless service and renewal execution
Stay current on coverage changes, carrier requirements, and industry developments
Participate in training and continuing education to enhance technical expertise
Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on service excellence and continuous improvement
QUALIFICATIONS What You Bring Required
Active Property & Casualty insurance license
7+ years of commercial lines insurance experience servicing middle‑market or complex accounts
Strong knowledge of commercial insurance coverages and policy documentation
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred
Experience supporting complex risks such as construction, manufacturing, or distribution
Experience working with agency management systems
Strong collaboration skills when working with Producers and service teams

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Compensation Hourly range: $43 – $48 per hour
