About Us At Purposeful EDU, we help schools, districts, and education leaders make smarter decisions by connecting them with global experts, evidence-based strategies, and high-quality EdTech solutions that are proven to work. Our mission is to help schools thrive by applying the science of learning in practical, measurable ways that improve outcomes for students and educators. Through advisory partnerships, thoughtful EdTech curation, and strategic implementation support, we bring together researchers, practitioners, and solution providers to address real challenges in education. We believe schools deserve trusted guidance, strong partners, and innovations grounded in research—not hype.
Role Introduction As a Business Development team member, you will help expand our reach across the education ecosystem by building meaningful relationships with school leaders, district decision‑makers, educators, and EdTech partners. This role sits at the intersection of mission and growth: you will listen carefully to what schools need, identify where our expertise and partner network can create value, and turn those insights into long‑term partnerships and revenue opportunities. You will be a trusted connector—someone who understands how education decisions are made, builds credibility with stakeholders, and guides conversations from early interest to strategic partnership. If you bring both education fluency and a strong business development mindset, this is an opportunity to do work that is commercially impactful and deeply aligned to improving learning outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Build and grow relationships with educators, school leaders, district stakeholders, and EdTech partners to create new partnership opportunities across the education space.
Listen closely to school and district needs, capture market insights, and translate those insights into thoughtful outreach strategies and revenue‑generating opportunities.
Own business development activity from prospecting and lead qualification through partnership conversations and long‑term collaboration.
Maintain a clean, accurate pipeline in the CRM, documenting activity, next steps, and opportunity progress with strong follow‑through.
Represent Purposeful EDU in meetings, events, and education community settings to deepen trust, strengthen visibility, and expand strategic relationships.
Collaborate across the organization to align partnership opportunities with company goals and contribute to sustainable revenue growth.
What You Bring
5+ years of experience in education, business development, partnerships, account management, or stakeholder engagement, with strong exposure to the K-12 landscape.
A strong understanding of how school and district decision‑making, purchasing, and partnership processes work.
A track record of building external relationships that lead to strategic partnerships, program growth, or revenue generation.
Excellent communication and consultative relationship‑building skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and clearly articulate value.
Strong organization and pipeline management skills, including experience using CRM tools to track activity and manage opportunities.
A proactive, self‑directed approach with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands‑on execution in a collaborative environment.
A genuine commitment to improving education outcomes and enthusiasm for working in a mission‑driven, evidence‑based organization.
Nice to Have
Experience working with EdTech companies, education vendors, or partnership programs serving schools and districts.
Familiarity with the science of learning, evidence‑based instructional practices, or research‑backed education solutions.
Experience supporting revenue goals, partnership metrics, or sales pipeline reporting.
Comfort representing an organization at conferences, district meetings, workshops, or education community events.
Experience creating external communications such as newsletters, partner updates, or targeted outreach campaigns.
If you’re excited to turn education insight into meaningful partnerships and lasting impact, we’d love to hear from you.
