The Dealer Relationship Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and growing relationships with dealers in Georgia’s Own indirect lending network (Automobile, Marine and RV). This role serves as the primary liaison between the Credit Union and its dealer partners, ensuring quality loan volume, adherence to lending guidelines, and mutually beneficial performance outcomes. The Dealer Relationship Manager also actively seeks out new dealerships partners to expand Georgia’s Own reach and drive strategic loan growth. A key expectation of this role is maintaining strong, professional relationships through frequent communication – both in person and by phone.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Cultivate and strengthen dealer relationships with regular dealer visits and contact via onsite visits and phone conversations* Proactively identify and establish relationships with new dealer partners to expand the indirect lending network (Automobile, Marine, and RV)* Provide training and ongoing support to dealership staff on the Credit Union’s products and processes* Address any issues or concerns raised by dealerships, finding solutions that benefit both parties* Collaborate with Lending Administration to ensure credit policy alignment and loan quality* Work with Lending Administration for expedited loan decisions during the week and on Saturdays* Actively work with dealer partners and internal staff to ensure that approved loans are captured and funded according to established expectations* Monitor dealer performance and proactively address issues related to loan quality, funding delays, or documentation gaps* Drive volume growth through strategic dealer engagement while maintaining portfolio quality* Complete required dealer reviews and reports, constantly keeping a pulse of active dealers by utilizing tools such as Argos Risk, and promptly reporting to Management if anything changes with dealer status* Be the first line of defense and protect the Credit Union against industry risk such as reputational risk* Complete required dealer reviews and reports, constantly keeping a pulse of active dealers by utilizing tools such as Argos Risk, and promptly reporting to Management if anything changes with dealer status* Prepare regular reports summarizing dealer activity and identifying opportunities or concerns* Represent Georgia’s Own at industry events and dealership-sponsored activities* Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed in alignment with business needs and priorities**EDUCATIONAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:*** Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline or related field is preferred, but not required* Minimum 5 years of management or sales experience within a financial institution required, with indirect lending field preferred**ADDITIONAL/IMPORTANT SKILLSETS:*** Must be willing and able to travel regularly within the assigned region (approximately 50 – 75% of the time)* Strong presence and professionalism in face-to-face interactions* Strong interpersonal skills to influence dealer behavior* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Good sales skills in talking with dealers is a plus* Ability to work occasional Saturdays to support sales events, or promotional activities based on business needs* Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in applying credit risk principles to lending recommendations* Understanding of financial services related products and overall financial services operations* Fluent in English required and Spanish preferred**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. All employees must be able to communicate face to face or through technology with or without reasonable accommodation. Employee will be in an office environment (well-lighted, heated, and air-conditioned) typically stationed at a desk or table. Employee will be asked to sit and stand for various increments of time, and to lift/push up 10 lbs. Clerical office duties on various forms of technology are required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.All positions that have lending responsibilities must comply with all requirements under the SAFE ACT, as well as the Credit Union’s policies and procedures related to the SAFE ACT.
