
Environmental Services Director (EVS)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Director of Environmental Services (EVS) to oversee housekeeping, laundry, and environmental services operations across our Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing communities. This leadership role is critical in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all environmental services operations, including housekeeping, laundry, and sanitation
Ensure compliance with all infection control standards, OSHA regulations, and state/federal guidelines
Develop and maintain cleaning schedules, policies, and procedures for both AL and SNF settings
Lead, train, and supervise EVS staff, including scheduling and performance management
Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance
Collaborate with nursing and leadership teams to support infection prevention efforts
Manage inventory, supplies, and departmental budgets
Prepare for and participate in state surveys and implement plans of correction as needed
Respond promptly to environmental and safety concerns
Qualifications
Previous experience in EVS/Housekeeping leadership, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting
Strong knowledge of infection control, sanitation standards, and regulatory requirements
Experience overseeing both Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing preferred
Proven leadership and team management skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
