
Marketing Manager

Overview
This position is assigned to one or more installations and supports all FFR Programs including Sheltering, Community Services (Morale, Welfare & Recreation, Fleet & Family Service Center and Child & Youth Program) and Food Services. NDW serves a patron base of active duty military, Department of Defense civilian employees, military and civilian retirees, family members, and reservists. Duties
Plans, executes, evaluates and manages Marketing Program. Develops professional marketing and promotional plans for regional Community Programs ongoing and one-time programs and/or events. Uses established real-world marketing practices to initiate and complete plans. Plans may be written individually or in cooperation with other marketing or program staff. Makes presentations of marketing and/or promotion plans to groups or individuals, possibly up to and including Program Managers and Navy Senior Leadership. Develops and promotes creative promotional options for programs. In partnership with programmer, determines target market. Establishes and meets deadlines in conjunction with marketing plans. Establishes and maintains regularly scheduled meetings, liaises with managers and key personnel to gather information on programs, services and/or events for authorized patrons. Learns business principles of and helps define the particular marketing needs for each facility or program. Develops recommendations and plans addressing topics such as increasing sales or patronage, awareness, customer service satisfaction. Develops and monitors tracking methods for marketing calls, marketing requests and recommendations/outcomes. Builds relationships through outstanding customer service. Conducts marketing analysis and data gathering using tools such as surveys and analytics. Interprets research findings, summarizes results, makes recommendations and presents to diverse audiences. Uses marketing tools to publicize and encourage patronage of programs and facilities through advertising campaigns (email, websites, presentations, speeches, publications, banners, etc.). Develops distribution plans and ensures information is current and distributed effectively. Maintains distribution points and ensures information remains visible and organized. Gathers information, completes marketing requests and distribution plans, submits and tracks progress through the FFR Support Office Visual Information Specialists. Develops and maintains tracking tools to meet deadlines and acts as liaison between program manager and Visual Information Specialist. Conducts installation-level (and regional) public relations activities. Administrative Duties
— Handles administrative tasks including researching and ordering equipment and materials, contributing to the annual budget, tracking purchases, and maintaining files and records. May coordinate regional marketing plans and campaigns and may work at multiple regional sites. Maintains annual installation-level Quality of Life Programs calendar and strategic plan. Assists in gathering event information, writing solicitation materials or fact sheets, and after-action summaries. May lead regional marketing projects such as website management, marketing training, or regional newsletters. Provides Customer Service
— Develops or supports setup of exhibits and displays, coordinates display materials, and staffs displays as directed. May collaborate on video production services and disseminate program videos to the audience. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements

Must have salary sent to a financial institution by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer. Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment. A valid State driver’s license is required to operate motor vehicles. May be required to work periodically at various regional sites in addition to the assigned location. Starting May 7, 2025, non-affiliated individuals requesting access will need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or another acceptable form of identification to access CNRMA Installations. Qualifications
A minimum of three years of experience in the marketing field or related area OR a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field and one year of experience in marketing (or related field) is preferred. Knowledge of all phases of marketing and communications, including principles, methods, practices, trends and techniques. Ability to gather and effectively organize information. Must possess proven ability to analyze business needs and develop marketing plans in a fast-paced environment. Ability to solve problems with tact and resourcefulness and carry out projects independently. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Skill to market and promote programs and motivate patrons. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines. Education
