The Crate Builder is responsible for building crates, pallets, and custom packaging for finished products, then preparing those items for shipment. This person helps protect product quality, support shipping accuracy, and keep the production floor organized and running smoothly. Responsibilities
Build crates, pallets, and cardboard packaging for finished products Package completed products for shipment Label crates and packaged items with the correct job numbers Confirm items match the shipping paperwork before shipment Read job travelers and blueprints on a computer Use hand and power tools to assemble packaging materials Communicate packaging or production issues to supervisors Help maintain inventory of packaging materials Support shop cleanliness, including trash and recycling removal Follow shop safety standards and support a safe work environment Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required Experience using hand and power tools Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, heavier items with assistance Comfortable working on your feet in a manufacturing environment Able to work independently and with a team Pay
$18.00 to $19.00 per hour DOE Available Shifts
