Event Manager
Event Planner - Caterer of Geneva. Start date: July 1 (or to be agreed upon). Annualized position. The Caterer of Geneva is a socially engaged company that offers catering services for private, institutional, and solidarity events. The Event Manager contributes to the development and quality of this activity, in line with the social and human values, particularly within its socio‑professional integration framework. The revenues generated by this service contribute to the financing of activities.
Main responsibilities
Commercial and client management
Respond to incoming requests (quotes, proposals, advice)
Identify client needs and propose suitable solutions
Develop commercial offers and ensure follow‑up before, during, and after the event
Conduct client visits before and after events
Foster client loyalty and develop the portfolio
Plan events (logistics, timing, human resources)
Coordinate internal teams (kitchen, service) and external partners (DJ, florists, etc.)
Ensure the proper running of events on‑site in connection with the catering event manager
Management
Oversee events on the day
Anticipate and manage unforeseen events
Guarantee the quality of service and adherence to standards
Monitoring and financial
Monitor budgets and event profitability
Prepare invoices and ensure follow‑up
Participate in internal processes
Activity development
Propose areas for improvement and participate in promoting the catering service
Contribute to development strategies
Profile and experience
Background in event management or equivalent
Proven experience (minimum 3‑5 years) in a similar position
Skills
Excellent communication and multitasking skills
Customer service orientation and ease of communication
Ability to manage stress and priorities
Good mastery of tools (Excel, management tools)
Knowledge of hygiene standards (HACCP)
Proficiency in English
Personal qualities
Autonomy and sense of responsibility
Team spirit and leadership
